Car history: |
2) 1970 Corvette V8 383 Crate Engine with Demon Carburetor. Ceramic Headers. New M21 Manual Transmission. New TA Radial Tires. New Carpet. New Heat Barrier Batting. Only 65,000 original miles. Tilt Telescopic Steering Wheel. Excellent working A/C. Pioneer 200 watt Stereo System with Custom Speakers and mounting. Brand New Flowmaster with 3" Pipes and Mufflers. Estimated HP is 360. Painted six months ago, spent $9000 on multiple clear coats of original paint. While painting, car was stripped down to fiberglass and all new chrome was replaced including bumpers. Also, all mechanical parts pertaining to windshield wiper were replaced and are in working order. Always garaged. Brand new Heavy Duty Delco Battery. Heavy duty aluminum light weight radiator with electric fan. Car drives very strong, is a great touring car and a definite must see. This car is in excellent condition and needs nothing. The crate engine has less than 3500 miles. Have all receipts for work done. Not a home restoration. All work done at professional shops. February 7, 2012. 1) 1970 Corvette T-Top Coupe. Beautiful Red car with all new black interior. The car is a restoration project. I purchased it 3 years ago to rebuild it and bring it back to as original as possible and the car is a weekend driving car. The small block 350 engine was not original, and had performance problems, so it has been replaced with a 2007 383cu in ZZ4 crate motor. All drive train components have been replaced or rebuilt. I replaced the factory Rochester 4-barrel carburetor, along with an upgraded HEI distributor, rebuilt radiator and new ceramic headers & complete new exhaust. Runs great with no mechanical issues that I am aware. The 4 speed manual transmission has been rebuilt and all new seals, along with a complete new clutch system, new drive shafts and bearings. This car has power steering, power brakes and factory AC. Steering box and AC has been replaced/upgraded with new components compressor, condenser, and blower motor. Interior has been completely brought back to as original as possible all new gauges, steering wheel, all new weather-stripping across entire car, all new wiring harnesses, new vacuum system, recovered seats, new carpet and mouldings. Most interior component parts - center console, arm rests - have all been replaced and upgraded. The AM/FM radio did not work and it was replaced with an AM/FM CD player the only interior item not back to original, along with 4 new speakers. Body is straight, even seams, and solid. Paint is in average condition and the last item I was to complete before running out of time to complete this car. There is slight discoloration between the door panels and rear panels from the previous owner easily completed with good paint. Car has 5 new BF Goodrich tires, new shocks, and new replaced rear spring. Rally wheels were stripped and painted back to factory silver, also has new chrome rings. 56,066 miles. March 8, 2008. |
